Day # 36 - Time to take Stock

Dear MPM Member,

Well, we’ve reached the end of your Training Letters.  Congratulations!  This is also your day to be honest with yourself.  We have some questions for you…

Okay, those questions should get you started.  We strongly encourage you to – every 30 days – stop and evaluate your business.  This is your time to analyze your strengths and be honest about your weaknesses.  Where are you falling down on building your business?  What areas do you need to get better in?  What can you do to ensure you accomplish your goals in the next 30 days?

Once you have taken an honest look, now is the time to set your next 30 day goals.  Do this on a monthly basis.  We’ve talked about the importance of goals already.  They will remain critically important as long as you are building your business.

Keep your business building simple.  You have the system in place.  All you have to do is do it.  Be consistently consistent.

Right now you are in one of 3 places:  You didn’t reach your goals for your first 30 days; you reached them but you wished you had done more; your business is really taking off.

Today is a brand new day.  What you have done before now doesn’t really matter.  You can decide now to reach your goals for the next 30 days.  You can decide now to build the momentum you wished you already had going.  You can continue the momentum you’ve built the last month and keep things rolling!  The decision is yours.  The actions will be up to you!

We are big fans of working my way backward when we set a goal.  The best way to explain this to you is to use an example.

Let’s say your MPM goal is to have 50 Members you have personally sponsored.  Okay.  Our first question is when you intend to have them by.  It’s not enough to say you want 50.  Give it a date.

Maybe your answer is one year.  Okay… Assuming you’ll take two weeks of vacation, you’ll need to get 1 per week.  1 per week. That’s your first “Working Backward Goal”.

What are you going to do?  Each person’s answer will be different but let’s say your plan is to hand out 50 Invitation cards a week, send 50 emails or E-cards, and advertise online in at least 1 place.  Okay.  What do you have to do on a daily basis to make that happen?

You’re going to have to give out 7 Invitation cards, and send out 7 Emails or E-cards for 6 days, and then send out 8 on the 7th day.  We think you can figure out the math on the advertising.

Great!  Now you know what you need to do on a DAILY basis to make your goal of giving away at least 1 Power Mall a week.  Just for the record, we think you’ll get more than 1 of you do that much but I don’t think you’ll mind that.  This is what “Working a Goal Backward” is all about.  Take an overall goal and break it down into daily or even hourly activity.  That way you don’t get to Saturday and say, “Oh my gosh, I have to give out 50 Invitation Cards today!” Of course you’re not going to realistically do that so you throw up your hands, decide you’ve failed and give up.  Or just say, “Well, I’ll do it next week…” and then repeat the same pattern – frustrated because you’re not experiencing the same success as other members.

Work your goals backward and then commit to your DAILY activities to make your dreams a reality.  We believe you can do it!

While this is the end of your daily Training Letters, we encourage you to go over them again and again.  You will also be receiving daily updates from Ginny with MPM information, tips, shopping information and motivation.  We’re here to help you any way we can.  Our goal is to support you in your quest to become financially independent.

We believe in you!
