Power Bite # 56 - What In The World Do I Do Now?
Hello MPM Member,
Okay, you’ve made your list and you’re ready to start contacting some of these people aren’t you?! Now is when the excitement begins, because now your business is about to start growing!
You might be looking at your list thinking, “Uh-huh, now what in the world am I supposed to say to all these people I’ve got in front of me?” Good question. Most companies give you a bunch of different scripts and tell you to memorize them until you’re comfortable with them. That’s not exactly simple, and we promised SIMPLE.
Instead, I want you to try and remember just 3 sentences:
“I just got involved with a company that gives you a way to make great income from your Everyday Spending. I make money from everything I buy – even my groceries and gas! Do you know anyone who would like to make money working part-time from home?”
Give them an Invitation Card and get their email address. Then, go home and send them an E-card, email, or audio email.
Or, we can make it even easier.
“Hey, I’m updating my email address book. What’s your email address?”
We really don’t think we can make it any easier than that. Get their email address, and then do the same thing as above. Let the tools do your work. You don’t have to polish your “prospecting scripts.” You don’t have to learn how to give a presentation. Just SEND THEM TO YOUR WEBSITE!
Okay, that should be enough to at least get you started. Pull out your list right now. How many people are you going to call today? How many E-cards are you going to send? What was that number again? Why don’t you write it down in front of you? Now, GO DO IT!! The first few phone calls will be the hardest. You might feel a little awkward. You might think you’re going to die if they say no. (You won’t) You might think you’re going to go through 100 people before you find someone interested. (You won’t). Every call you make is taking you one step closer to reaching your goals that brought you into MPM!!

Shopping Tip: If you encounter a technical problem when ordering and the store’s Customer Service Representative completes the order for you, your purchase WILL NOT BE PAID a commission. There is no way we can track orders that have been placed over the telephone. Get the help you need (without placing the order) and then go back to your mall and place the order online so we can track it for you.
Business Building Tip: If English is a second language for you, translate portions of the website, the business cards, invitation cards, or other MPM resources and send to others who speak your language. (Gabriel González Chacón, Spain)
Change the World Tip: Do you like music or drama? Why not volunteer at a local elementary school, YMCA or community center, and put on skits or mini-musicals? You could either enlist other teens and perform them for the kids, or better yet, cast the kids in the roles and work with them throughout the year. When they're ready to perform, arrange for performances in the school auditorium (at the "Y" or community center). Invite the other classes and parents (and grandparents).
