Power Bite # 52 - More On Being A Great Leader

In order to be a great Leader you also have to be realistic about building your business. All of you will run into signing up people who aren’t really doing anything or doing much shopping. That’s okay – just know it’s going to happen. But here’s the cool thing…
They’ve got their Mall and they’ve got to the end of their first full month before they have to take action and buy just one thing. If they are World Changers you don't even have to consider that because their membership qualifies them. So there they sit – receiving my daily updates, as well as all the Shopping Alerts – as well as the encouraging emails or audio messages all of you should be sending to the people you sponsored directly. At some point, I bet they will swing into action because they won’t want to lose such a great opportunity.
You just keep bringing on new members – and we’ll help you support them as best we can until they’re ready to move forward!

Are you building your business using the Internet? Here are some things to consider:
Are you a Proactive Leader? Are you contacting every person on your team to welcome them and offer help? If you are, you’re definitely on the right track. Even if they never need your help, they know you are there and that they aren’t alone. It’s one reason we send our Daily CEO Updates. We never want anyone in MPM to feel alone or that no one is out there.
One of the potential hazards of having an Internet Business is that it can become too impersonal. You never talked to them to get them signed up, so why should you talk to them now… For one simple reason. Every member who signs up through the Internet is a PERSON – with real dreams, and a real life, and real reasons for joining My Power Mall. Don’t you want to know what they are? And wouldn’t you like to know someone cared enough about you to simply send an email or make a call?
Be a Proactive leader. It will do wonders for your business!

Hold a Contest for your own team. While we will always have MPM Contests going on, there is nothing to keep you from having your own contests – offering prizes for the most people added, and other prizes based on sales.
Think about doing a contest for your team. It’s not what they win – it’s the fun of winning! And because people love to win, it is motivation for them to build their team – building YOUR team as well.
Here are some prize ideas:
- Certificates (you can make them yourself)
- Create a website and post their pictures
- Buy them a meal at their own local restaurant
- Have a pizza delivered to their house
- Be creative and come up with some of your own ideas… We’d love to have you share them with us, too!
Being a Leader is great fun. You will meet many amazing people through My Power Mall and will build some great relationships. And, the stronger your team is, the more secure your income will be!

Business Building Tip: People join people, so develop relationships. It can be as simple as a handshake and a smile, but people will be drawn to MPM because they are drawn to you. Then invite them to your website. Also, once you have people on your team, work with the willing. Don’t try to build someone else’s business for them, but help those who are trying. You might buy them domain names, show them social networking sites like MySpace.com, Me.com, Yuwie.com, Facebook and others. (Fernando David, Florida)
Change the World Tip: Offer your classroom or school to join with community officials and participate in fall and spring clean up activities centering on safety, health and environmental issues.
