Power Bite # 31 - More Tips As You Build Your Business
Hello MPM Member,
As you’re working toward being a member of the coveted MPM 10+ Club, there is some more information you need to know!
People are concerned with what happens if someone signs up by going to the corporate site instead of to their site. We have an occasional email saying that a member really meant to sign up under another person and can we please correct the Genealogy Report. Unfortunately, this is not something we can do for you. We need you to take responsibility for making sure it happens correctly in the first place.
Here’s what we have done to keep this from happening.
We have a pop-up window at the end of the signup process that says, Are you sure you want a World Changer/Personal Mall? Then we show them the name and ID# of the person they are signing up under. They have to click Yes before they can move forward. Then, just to triple verify, we have another step for this process. Once someone clicks join, a page will come up that says:
We're so glad you want to be a MY POWER MALL member! In order to make your membership process as smooth as possible, we need you to confirm three things before you proceed:
1 - I realize I am signing up under My Power Mall # ______. My sponsor will be: __________. If this information is not correct, you have the wrong ID# and are in the wrong My Power Mall account. Please back out, contact the person who invited you to join MY POWER MALL, and then return. If you join under the wrong person we will not be able to correct it.
2 - If you have discovered MY POWER MALL via the Internet, without a direct invitation, you are signing up under the Corporate site. We welcome you! As soon as you sign up you will be assigned to someone in the company who can give you the support you need. You will receive your sponsor's contact information on your signup confirmation page.
3 - Yes, I am signing up for a World Changer Mall. I realize I will earn shopping rebates from Power Malls below me, but will earn a lower rebate % on my personal purchases. I also realize I cannot signup here for a World Changer Mall if I already have a Personal Savings Mall (I will need to Upgrade). I understand that if I sign up for both, My Power Mall will deactivate and delete both of my Power Malls.
Then they need to select Yes or No to proceed. If they click yes, the box disappears and they can access the contract. If they say No, then they simply go back to the Home page.
I believe we’ve done everything we can to make sure new members are signing up under the right person. Now it’s YOUR turn…
1) Here’s what you can do to make sure one of YOUR new members don’t go to someone else…
- Send an email to everyone you invite to join. Make sure you simply give them a link to click on. That way they won’t get confused and just enter in www.mypowermall.com. NEVER send anyone to www.mypowermall.com or they will be lost to you forever as they will be signed up under corporate! Actually, the best way to do this is purchase a unique domain name and forward it to your MPM business site. Make it something easy for people to remember (i.e., JohnsMPMsite.com or MakeMPMbucksWithMargo.com) -- this is a sure-fire way to keep people from going to the corporate site.
- If you tell someone about MPM, make sure you give them an Invitation Card with your complete Business Site URL on it (a domain name is better, but not required -- see the bullet above). Make sure they have the information to go to your site!
- As mentioned above, you can also get a domain name and forward it your MPM member mall address (www.mypowermall.com/biz/home/YourID#). That way when people click on your domain name you don’t have to worry if they typed in your ID # right, or if they remembered to put it on there. If you don’t know about Domain names, click on Domain Names in the left menu of the Back Office home page.
- NEVER mask your domain name as it can interfere with your tracking!
2) Most people are motivated by the income from My Power Mall. Want a visual of just what it could be, based on different numbers of people on your first line? Then just go to the Income Calculator link on your Back Office Home page.
3) Some of you will want to explode your business by contacting non profit organizations (NPOs). These would be groups such as sports teams, school organizations, churches, alumni associations, etc. Before you contact them, please read over our "Working with NPOs" section (in the navigation bar on the left, or go there directly: http://mpmtraining.homestead.com/NPOTrainingInfo.html). We've included training information, tips from MPM members who have been working with NPOs for the past several years, how to contact NPOs, Snail Mail letters, Email messages, and much more!

Webster’s Dictionary defines a secret as something kept from public knowledge; something mysterious that is beyond general knowledge or understanding.
If that were true then it would mean success is only possible for those few who have access to the great mysterious secrets of success. Nonsense!
People believe there are hidden secrets that will propel them to success. There are no secrets. There are truths, lessons, insights and actions you can take to get you where you want to be. They’re not hidden, but neither are they dancing in front of you as you walk through life. You have to WANT to know them. You have to LOOK for them. You have to DO something with them once you know them.
Do you ever wonder what your life is going to be like in 1 year; 5 years; 10 years; 20 years; longer…? Of course you do. Everyone does. As we begin this journey together there is a very basic truth you need to hear, and hopefully accept.
Your life will be whatever you decide to make it.
You’ve got a choice to make. Today. And every other day of your life.
Let me clue you into another secret of life. Where you are in your life today is a direct consequence of every decision you have ever made.
Ouch. I know. It was pretty tough on me when I had to face this truth. I didn’t like some of what I saw – other things I felt pretty good about. I figure we might as well get this out of the way right at the beginning. I have discovered it is best to face the reality of where you are starting from before you begin a journey. It’s the only way you can know how far you have to go – or how far you have come.
So go ahead… take a few minutes (or longer) to think about these two secrets. You may discover the same kind of freedom I did. While it was tough to accept I am ultimately responsible for whatever the condition of my life is right now – there is also incredible freedom in knowing I have the power to make it anything I want it to be. Wow!
I get so tired of people complaining about their lives. Complaining they can’t do certain things because they’re just not smart enough. Complaining they will never excel in anything because they just don’t have the talent others do. Complaining they will never make much money because no one else they know does. It goes on and on…
I hear it all the time. People selling themselves short because they simply don’t believe life will be exciting for them – they don’t believe their dreams will ever come true. As long as they believe that – it will be true for them.
Okay, did you hear that? This is another so-called secret of life. If they believe it, it will be true for them. I didn’t say it was true. I simply said it was true for them because they have decided to believe it. That MAKES it true for them. Too bad!
Especially because the opposite is equally true. If you choose to believe in your ability to excel; to succeed; to make your dreams come true – then you will. Your decision to believe it makes it TRUE FOR YOU!
I realize you probably are thinking I’m a little wacko right now. That’s okay.
Today is a day you can use to change your life. Change the way you think about things.
Decide to believe your entire life is going to be an exciting adventure. Decide to believe you will be a success. Decide to believe today is going to be better than yesterday.
Decide and it will be TRUE FOR YOU!

Shopping Tip: Always enter a store through your MPM mall. NEVER bookmark a store. And NEVER follow a link out of the store you entered from your MPM mall. Once you leave the original store you entered, we can no longer track your purchase and you will not receive payment for your purchase(s).
Business Building Tip: If there is a great sale on MPM, post it in one of the groups you belong to or write a blog about it. Highlight Restaurant.com or GiftCertificates.com and send people to your MPM mall to shop or sign up for their own mall. Not only will you generate sales, people will sign up. Change the World Tip: Provide free babysitting. Sometimes adults have to take their kids with them to places to talk business because they can't afford a babysitter. Be creative and ask around - maybe a group of your friends or your club or youth group could offer free babysitting while parents have meetings with teachers. Perhaps a low-cost counseling center could use someone to watch clients' kids. Maybe a group of your parents' friends would like to go to a movie or out to dinner.
