Power Bite # 30 - Tips For Joining The MPM 10+ Club

If you’ve not already done it, you will want to get a copy of 101 Ways To Promote My Power Mall. In August of 2007, we asked the leaders of My Power Mall to share their secrets for building their businesses. They graciously and eagerly did so. From those ideas, we created the 101 Ways to Promote My Power Mall. This ebook is a compilation of more than 101 ways to promote your MPM business. Explore what the leaders are doing; experiment with their ideas and find what works for you. The Appendix provides dozens of links for Internet sites where you can advertise (paid and free), access business building tools, and connect with others.
Every idea comes from someone who is a member of the elite MPM 10+ CLUB. Many have 20+, 50+, 100+ or 200+ MPM members on their Teams. They reveal all their secrets in this book. All you have to do is print it out and start trying as many as you can! Here are just a few ideas from the book:
4) Best results are by making personal contact. Join an online community like AdlandPro and take advantage of their free offers. Send a request to other members that have similar interests and ask them to "be your friend." Most will accept your invitation, then send another message and tell them about MPM. 20) If English is a second language for you, translate portions of the website, the business cards, Invitation Cards, and other MPM resources and send to others who speak your language. (Gabriel González Chacón, Spain)
66) Do a search on your favorite search engine for lists of organizations. For instance, type in: contact dog rescue shelters email list (then substitute charter schools, children charities, online businesses, whatever) in your search. Look for lists, for example: akc.org/breeds/rescue.cfm or animal-link.org. You're looking for lots of contact names and email addresses all on one page. You can also put a state name in your search. This saves you from searching one website at a time. Cut and paste the email address into your email, then copy/paste your email message (save it to a document so you can get to it quickly), then add the person's name or the name of the organization. 95) Be an example and shop regularly on your own mall. Tell others what you purchased and the perks you received (like free shipping, no tax, your rebate, etc.). Set up a journal page on one of your websites and notate your shopping "excursions." (Lisa Medina, Colorado)
98) Hire a company that distributes flyers. The cost is very reasonable. Decide the area you want the flyer distributed to. Then you provide the flyers, the company picks them up and hand delivers them to the neighborhood of your choice. (John Mocker, Arizona)

Shopping Tip: If you are going to do comparison shopping on your mall, do it PRIOR to starting your purchase. Leaving the store once the checking out process has begun can cause loss of the tracking information. Comparison shopping is great! Just do it before you start shopping.
Business Building Tip: Start a MPM team group on the web through a blog, forum or website (all of these are free). Share marketing ideas, information on stores, etc. Encourage MPM members to help each other. The Internet is international so you can help people no matter where in the world they live. Change the World Tip: Set an hour or evening aside each week to help refugees or immigrants learn English. Contact your local college or school district for information about such a program in your area. (From our 101 Ways Women Can Change the World ebook)
