Power Bite # 29 – The MPM Business Reports
Hello MPM Member,
Any good business owner knows what is going on in their business. We’ve given you the tools to do just that. Please make sure you read all the information we give you on each page. We’re torn between laughing and complete frustration when we get emails asking us questions that you could have answered yourself simply by READING. Show yourself to be a leader by learning your business. We’ve given you every single thing you need to succeed but we can’t force feed it into your brain. :)
Now let’s show you all the Business Reports we have given you:
Sales – This is exactly what it means. You can keep track of all the sales made by you and by your organization. Play around with all of them and you’ll see that you can tell your personal purchases, as well as all the purchases made by your team on different levels. You will be able to identify the store where the purchase was made and the amount – but not the identity of the shopper (giving them privacy). You have the ability to sort these reports on numerous column headings in each report. Sort-able headings are indicated by a hyperlink. One click sorts the report in ascending order. Click the same column heading again and it sorts the report in descending order. In addition, the sales report (Level Report Detail) includes a red * (asterisk) to indicate the estimated owner's commission. This * (asterisk) is for ADA compliance so visually impaired users can find their estimated commissions.
This page also has a Sales FAQ (it can also be found in the tab at the top of your website and in your toolbar) that you need to read BEFORE submitting a sales question. We will update this information to address new questions as they are asked. To give members of our staff a break during the weekends and also allow them time to build their businesses, we are posting our hours of operation and disabling the Contact Us and Sales Inquiry functions. We will be closed from 6:00 PM MST Friday evening through 8:00 AM MST Monday morning.
Commissions – This one will only mean something when you start getting checks, allowing you to see exactly what you have been paid on. You will also see a FAQ on this page. PLEASE read these prior to submitting a commission question. We will update this information to address new questions as they are asked. This FAQ is also available as a tab at the top of your website and in your toolbar. As is true for Sales Inquiries, Commissions Inquiries will be disabled over the weekends. (See above)
This is a good time to answer a couple questions I know you’ll have. This information can also be found in the FAQ section – which you should know really well by now!
When do you get paid Commissions Due?
When you go into your Sales & Level Reports you will see a total for Commissions Due. That does NOT mean you will receive that amount in your next payment. It means that is the amount that is attributed to your account from the sales made through your team. We still have to be paid before we can actually pay you that amount. From the time a sale is made it is usually 60-90 days (depending on the store) before we receive payment for that amount and can then pay you.
Every month we run reports on what we have actually been paid, and then we pay out commissions based on that amount. Once you have received a payment, you can go into your Commissions report and see exactly what you were paid on.
We have the amount there in the level report so that you can watch your income grow as your team shops - just be sure to understand it can take some time to pay that out to you. The most important thing is just to help make sure that number keeps growing... It will - growing larger and larger as people join your team and SHOP!
Confused About Sales Report vs. Commission Report?
If you're confused, you're not alone. :) In an effort to make it clearer, we have crafted the following explanation that can also be found in the Q&A.
Q: I did not receive my commission check for this month.
A. If you believe you were supposed to receive a commission check this month and you haven't, you may be misunderstanding the two reports – Sales and Commissions – located in your back office under Business Reports. It's easy to get confused but let's see if we can clear it up.
1 - The Sales Report tracks all sales and estimated commission transactions made by you and your team (depending on the report you are reviewing) via your mall to a store on your mall. These are considered pending sales. We can't pay you the commissions on those sales until the stores pay us in the next 60-90 days. This report works much like rebates you receive when shopping physically at a store: You buy the product at full price; you get the rebate form to complete and supply the requested data; you mail it to the rebate center; and in 60-90 days you receive that rebate check in the mail. When it comes to your Power Mall, you are actually paid your commission when we have received that rebate check and pass it on to you as a Commission Payment.
Each merchant on our site has their own return policy and payment schedule. We have no control over when they will issue payment. As they do, the commissions are accumulated by a consolidation service and then forwarded to us. For example, you bought an item on your mall in March 07. The rebate for this purchase should show up anytime from June to July 07. Once you reach $25.00, you will receive payment. Please realize that just because your Sales Report states that you have a certain amount in pending sales does not mean we have received payment on those sales yet. It takes a little while for the flow to start but once it does it will just keep flowing, and get bigger and bigger!
2 - The Commissions Report only reports the stores that have paid commission on the items in your Sales Report. Once you have received a check, we post the sales you have been paid. You will be able to check this report and see exactly what sales you have been PAID. Once we have paid you, the amount of payment will disappear from the Sales Report, while you work to replace that income from even more sales throughout your MPM Team! We'll be cheering loudly as your payment gets bigger and bigger!
Back to the list of tools in your Back Office:
One Thing Program – This is a tool you can use to track the purchases in your mall(s) on a monthly basis. When you first view this page, you should only see one mall listed in the bottom shaded area. Just above that, you will see two textboxes that can be used to track purchases of subordinate malls that you have the key code for (i.e. a foundation mall). Enter the mall(s) you want to track monthly purchases (which must be in your downline) and click the “Add” button. That mall will be added to the list in the shaded area.
When you have added all the malls to your list, enter a date range in the shaded area (i.e. Start Date: 5/1/2008 and End Date: 5/31/2008) and click the “Submit” button. This is display a summary of all purchases made in May, 2008 for each mall in your list.
Frontline – This is a list of all the people you are personally responsible for giving a Mall to – your first level (or Front line)
Genealogy On-Line – Watch your team grow as your team members build their teams. You will see a graph of everyone on your team. If you click on one of the icons, you will get a pop-up that shows that person's information. There is a legend to decipher the different colors, and you'll see how many are on each level of your team as well as the total for the 9 levels of your pay.
You’ll also find two great buttons here. One is called “Jump to Mall” where you can enter a member’s MPM ID# (on your team) and go directly to their mall to view the activity occurring there. The other is called “Reload Top Level.” If you’ve been viewing malls several levels down and want to get back to the first level, simply click on this button and you’ll immediately be taken to the very top level of your team.
Here’s a tip if you have someone (including yourself) who has hundreds of malls on their front line.
If you have someone in your down line who has many, many people on their front line and you are tired of clicking the >> symbols over and over and over to get to the end of that person's front line ... you can zoom over all those malls in the middle that you don't want to see, in 1 Step.
Here's how:
Let's say you have someone in your down line who has over 400 malls on their front line (like we do) ... over even a hundred or so. When you have that person at the top of the page (use Tip #1, above), you only see the first 10 in that person's front line and the URL in the address bar will look like this:
https://www.mypowermall.com/GeneologyReport/XXXXXX/YYYYYYY/1 where the XXXXXX is YOUR MALL ID NUMBER and YYYYYY is the Mall # of the person in your down line you want to see and /1 represents the 1st group of 10 in their front line.
You can skip over GROUPS of 10 by changing the /1 at the end of URL to /Z, where Z is the number of groups of 10 you wish to skip to.
For example, since /1 at the end of the URL gets you the first group of 10, /6 will take you to the 6th group of 10, or the 60th thru the 69th malls on the front line of person YYYYYY.
That's it. Try it out and see how much time you'll save!
We predict you’ll spend a lot of time here as your team grows. It’s fun to watch just how fast it happens!
Genealogy Report – See your members on a downloadable spreadsheet format. There is also a Search Capability so you can see how many, and who, have been added to your team in say, the last seven days. The report labeled "Today (Mountain Standard Time)" is set as the default selection. It allows you, with a single click, to view all new members who signed up during that day. The join date is based on the server's date/time stamp which is MST. You can also use the Date Range or Show All Options. This report gives you the ability to welcome them to your team. To find an "Up Level" identity, enter your criteria and submit the request. Make sure your criteria returns data. Scroll all the way to the right so you can see the "Up Level" column. Hover over and/or click on your upline's MPM ID#. You will see the same identity box as shown in the Genealogy On-Line report.
You can also place a filter on the report by MPM ID# or by Downline Count.
Genealogy Email List – A complete list of all email addresses in CSV format to copy/paste into your email message. (ALWAYS use the "bcc" field to keep email addresses private!)
Remember, you are to use this list only to communicate with your team about MPM business and to encourage them. Just to remind you so you stay out of trouble and don’t lose your Mall, here is our policy again:
While we appreciate people having multiple streams of income, communicating another business opportunity with those on your team is NOT acceptable. You are, in essence, undermining the efforts of those who worked to bring them into My Power Mall and you are also SPAMMING. If we receive complaints that you are contacting your team members about another business opportunity, your Power Mall will immediately be cancelled. Your contract says:
Involuntary Termination. Member can be terminated immediately, including the cancellation of their MPM websites, at the sole discretion of MPM for false representation; spamming during marketing practices; abridgement of this Member agreement; Unethical behavior; or infringement of copyright, patent and trademark restrictions applicable to MPM. In the case of termination, any commissions due to that date will be paid in full. This act will only be taken when there is no other resort to handle differences and conflicts.
If we all work together from a place of integrity and wanting to create only Win/Win situations for everyone in My Power Mall, there will be no problems and we will continue to build the most amazing business opportunity and world-changing force on the Internet!
Inactive Mall Report – This report will generate a list of all inactive malls that were deactivated during the date range you entered. This only works for malls that were deactivated on or after April 1, 2008 which is when this tool was put into production.
There are three reasons a mall can be deactivated:
1. Owner’s Request – which means the mall was deactivated by the owner of the mall and clicked the
“Cancel My Membership” button in the back office. This action requires triple validation, so it cannot
happen by accident.
2. Non Purchase – which means the mall owner did not meet the monthly purchase requirement (One
Thing Program).
3. Admin – which indicates a violation of the owner’s agreement and could include, but not limited to:
spamming, using guaranteed signup programs, phishing, etc.
Member Locator – Using a member ID # or email address, you can locate every member on your team – allowing you to contact members to either congratulate or encourage them – no matter how far down they are on your team.
That’s certainly enough for this Power Bite. Take the time to play with every one of these and become familiar with them. You’ll be using them a lot in the days, months and years ahead!
We believe in you!
The MPM Team
Shopping Tip: Begin a new shopping habit! Whenever you need to purchase any item, check out your mall first! Changing habits is hard but you will be rewarded in the long run. You make money and can organize your life so you can get in more of those fun things you used to do, give special attention to your family, or help out someone to make a positive difference in the world!
Business Building Tip: Send out emails to everyone in your email address book. Invite them to look at, and join MPM. Provide them with a link to your MPM business site. (Dianne Bradley, Maryland) Send out multiple emails with the same subject line spaced a few days apart. Then use the same email body, but change the subject line. (Willis Brown, Texas)
Change the World Tip: Dogs cannot sweat and can become dangerously hot very quickly in the summer. Plenty of water should be available at all times, but especially in hot weather. Water in a pet's bowl should be clean, changed often and kept in a cool, shady place. During the summer when you and your dog exercise, take along a portable water container for each of you. Dehydration is a very real danger to you and your pet! (From our 101 Ways to Change the World for Animals ebook)
