Power Bite #15 - Just A Little More Shopping Information!
Hello MPM Member,
We want to make sure you know as much about your Mall as possible. Here are two more things about shopping in your mall.
1) When you are shopping through the stores please read the fine print. MPM is simply a portal to these stores and when you click on a store link you are taken to the actual online store. We do not control what they put on their websites. So…
- Read all the FINE PRINT when checking out.
- Read all the checkbox options and make sure you understand the wording of each one. Some say, “Check this box to subscribe to…” Some say, “Check this box to not receive…”. While this is perfectly legal, it can be misleading at times. Utilize your mall to the fullest extent – but be smart about it.
2) My Power Mall is a completely safe site! But, we have received concerns that anti-virus software is flagging My Power Mall as being unsafe.
Each affiliate uses tracking links and cookies to track the click-through from My Power Mall -- to the affiliate -- to the store and back again. You may see a warning from Trend Micro that looks like this.
Trend Micro flagged this web address because it is a tracking link.
However, it is not a dangerous tracking link. It is required to associate your MPM ID# to the purchase you will be making.
Follow these steps to "approve" this link through Trend Micro. And although the steps may not be the same for other anti-virus software programs, the theory is the same.
1.Open PC-Cillin's Main Console
2.Click Internet and E-mail controls
3.Click Web site Access controls
4.Click Settings
5.Click the Approved Web Sites tab
6.Click Add
7.Type the URL of the main domain
8.Make sure "Include all pages of these Websites" is checked.
9.Click OK
10. Click OK
Q. I am a new member. Committed to succeed, I immediately launched my recruitment program, starting on my warm market ...my sister. I was immediately rebuffed by her. She said the prices of goods in our My Power Mall are higher than comparable goods available in stores in California where we live. As an example, she cited the box of chocolate candies which I bought initially to start my business. She said a similar item here would cost the same ($15). There will be no shipping and handling cost. Gasoline? Stores abound in our neighborhoods. Total cost if bought locally will be cheaper by ordering through MPM. How do I reply to such an argument?
A. Will everything on the Mall be less expensive than what someone can buy locally? No. Will MOST things be less expensive? I believe so! Gaining the most value from the Mall comes from being a smart consumer. I look for the great deals. I look for stores that offer free shipping. I know that I can order ink jet cartridges for my printer WAY cheaper than any brick and mortar store can sell them. Many times stores DO offer things cheaper online because they don't have to pay for buildings and staff. I could go on and on but the key here is for each of you to become a SMART CONSUMER!
Know your Mall. Know the stores. Find great deals and make a purchase - and then share your savings news with the naysayer in your life. :)

Shopping Tip: When you submit a missing sales inquiry (through your Back Office) you must include all the information requested. Customer Service cannot follow up on your inquiry if you do not submit the Order ID number for your missing purchase. The inquiry will be returned to you if this section is blank. If you didn't save your email receipt or didn't print out a hard copy of your receipt you will need to contact the store's Customer Service Representative and obtain the order ID number of your sale.
Business Building Tip: Go to a local print shop and get a sticker made for the back window of your car with your domain name in it. Red lights and parking lots are now your best friends.
