Power Bite # 14 – Two More “Must Do’s”

Dear MPM Member,

Okay, there are just a few more things we want you to do and know before we start showing you exactly how to give away as many Power Malls as possible. These are so important we gave them their own Power Bite!

Make your Mall your Home Page

You may be about to learn something new about your computer… The best way to remember to shop in your Power Mall is to make it your Home Page. Each time you go on your computer it will open when you open your Internet Browser. Here’s how to do it:

Go to your home page

Click on Tools (at the top of the page)

Click on Internet Options

Type in your URL for your own My Power Mall (www.mypowermall.com/mall/YourID#) under "Home Page"

Click on Use Current

Click on Apply

Voilá! Every time you logon to the Internet, you will see your My Power Mall. If you want to search for anything else (like directions or school information), just type your search terms into your MPM Toolbar Google Box. Your regular internet will take over AND every time you search you’ll be helping feed & clothe a child somewhere in the world!

You MUST Shop Through Your Mall!

You MUST make every purchase through

YOUR Power Mall in order to receive your rebate!

You MUST keep your email receipts and confirmation

emails for each purchase you make.

Simply put – you have to go to your Mall each time and enter the store through there. Many times, after you have made a purchase, you will receive coupons, and advertisements directly from the merchants. You’ll read about some good deals. Just make sure you go to that store through your Mall!

Beware of using coupon/promo codes!

Most (not all) merchants will not allow you to take both a discount from a coupon code or promo code and receive a rebate/commission on a purchase. Listed below are the coupon/promo code guidelines.

You CAN use any coupon code/promo code on the merchant's site - AFTER you enter through your Mall!! You can also use a coupon/promo code we offer in the Hot Deals, Shopping Alert or Featured Stores.

DO NOT USE any coupon/promo codes sent to you directly from the merchant. It's best to NOT sign up for special alerts or communications from a merchant or any direct merchant emails that come to your Inbox. NEVER use coupon/promo codes from the Internet or special coding from direct mail catalogs or any other outside sources.

I had someone else think they could go to their local store (like Target) and just tell them they were with My Power Mall. NO. My Power Mall is an ONLINE MALL. You must go online and shop. The only exception is if you purchase Gift Cards through your Mall that you take to the store. You'll get a rebate on the purchase of that Gift Card (IF the store is listed in the "Stores Paying on Gift Cards" link on your mall and "List of Gift Card Stores" button), but not on the actual purchases made in the brick and mortar stores, since there is no way for us to track gift card purchases made in physical stores.

Please make sure you do all your shopping on your Power Mall. If you make a purchase directly through a store, instead of going through your Mall, we will NOT be able to give you the rebate for it because we will not receive anything. We only receive funds through purchases made on the Mall – meaning we can only pay out rebates on purchases made through our Mall.

Now we’re going to give you something that will make shopping in your Power Mall so much easier. Please take the time to print it before you close out of today’s Power Bite!

Print out the list of Daily Items that can be bought through your Mall. Then put it above your computer or in your bathroom – or anywhere else you want as a reminder of what can be bought on your Mall.

Okay… you’re on your way to knowing your Mall – the most important part of My Power Mall! We’ll cover a few more important things for you to know in the next couple of Power Bites but you’ve covered a lot of ground in this one! Go back through it again if there are still some things you’re not clear on. It will sink in as you keep going over it!

If you haven’t bought something in your Mall yet, NOW is the time! The amount doesn’t matter. What's important is the fact that you’re learning your Mall and just how easy it is to use.

Shopping Tip: Watch for a magnifying glass in any of the store’s Condition column and be sure to click on it. It will tell you about any special conditions set by that particular merchant that will affect your purchases (and commissions). These conditions are subject to change by the merchants so please check them at least once a month before you shop.

Business Building Tip: Print the free MPM invitations and flyers and hand them out in your neighborhood. Be sure to include your phone number and address so people can call and talk to you about My Power Mall. Take them when traveling, visiting, and wherever you go! (Michael Coursey, Georgia)
